Discover 29 Latest Cards from Magic: The Gathering's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Expansion (Including a Commander-Style Deck!)

The world's beloved pizza-eating heroes are arriving to the popular trading card game. The popular trading card game's publisher, the game's creators, unveiled a highly anticipated Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles collaboration during a exclusive panel hosted at NYCC. Is this a exciting addition or simply another crossover cash grab? Let you be the judge.

Take a look here at everything revealed from the Magic x Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles collaboration, along with key background. Everything listed below launches on March 6th, 2026, except for one item — a special Pizza Bundle arrives a few weeks later on March 27.

Magic x TMNT: Core Set Cards

Before diving into the many special decks and bundles available, let’s take a look at all the cards from the core Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles set unveiled by Wizards. Play boosters for the expansion are priced at $6.99 per pack, while Collector Boosters are priced at $37.99 per pack.

Let’s explore a couple of shell-shocking details. To begin, a new gameplay mechanic called Sneak, which is a riff on the pre-existing Ninjutsu ability, where players can play big creatures onto the game field whenever an attacking creature goes unblocked. The big difference here is that Sneak can affect spells that aren’t creatures too. Wizards also took the opportunity to clean up the mechanic a little (It is treated as playing a spell, unlike the older mechanic). The original ability is staying, but it's more likely players will encounter the new mechanic in upcoming expansions moving forward.

Should we were to return to Kamigawa, it’s possible we’d use Ninjutsu since that's where it originated and it is iconic of that world,” a senior game designer stated. “But on other planes, since the mechanics are smoother and the new ability is what's going to be in standard, it’s probable we’ll use the updated version.”

Another version of the leader Turtle, Sewer Samurai card, is among four special cards with special art created specifically for the set by Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles co-creator the co-creator.

Oh, and, should you be surprised by the card text on Turtles Forever card, which lets you play game cards that aren't in your main deck, many players were. But according to Wizards, that's now a official card in all formats of Magic.

In any case, here are the highly unusual full-art lands from this set:

Following Wizards of the Coast's existing guidelines, all these cards are fully legal in Magic’s Standard format. Developers say they were careful to ensure the new cards and mechanics worked smoothly with other Standard sets like Edge of Eternities.

“I led the development for over a year and we knew it would be Standard-legal and what other sets were going to be near it in Standard,” a lead designer says. “Our goal was to ensure that there's synergy with certain expansions like Edge of Eternities.”

For example, each of TMNT and Edge of Eternities include a blue-red strategy focused on artifact cards.

“They combine to offer the pieces for a fun Standard-legal deck,” the designer says.

Preconstructed Commander: Turtle Power

After declining to create any pre-constructed Commander decks for Spider-Man and the upcoming Avatar: The Last Airbender collaborations, Wizards is changing direction with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. This time it’s just a single precon, but it does come with six distinct legendary creatures who could work as your Commander depending on how you combine them (five of the cards include a unique Partner mechanic named “Character Select” that allows starting with two of them in the command area rather than just one). Take a look for yourself:

The Turtle Power precon is priced at $69.99, although the price may rise due to demand. Sources told that it includes 43 new cards in total, which translates to an additional thirty-seven Turtle-themed cards in addition to the six legendary creatures pictured earlier. (Doing some rough math, this suggests approximately 20 reprints if we estimate the precon comes with 37 lands.)

What will the TMNT version of Sol Ring appear? We’ll just have to wait and find out.

Standard Bundle (Regular)

As per usual, the company is offering a collection. This one is priced at $69.99 and includes the following:

  • 9 Play Boosters
  • Fifteen Traditional foil land cards
  • Fifteen Regular basic lands
  • 2 helper cards
  • One Traditional foil promo card
  • One Large spindown life counter
  • 1 storage box

Pizza Bundle

Here’s a special idea for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles set, primarily because it is packaged in a box resembling a pizza box. Each pizza-themed bundle is priced at $99.99 and comes with the following:

  • 9 Play Boosters
  • One Premium Booster
  • Twenty-five Regular pizza lands
  • 5 Traditional foil pizza basic lands
  • 2 Foil Pizza Bundle promo cards
  • 2 Reference cards
  • 1 Large spindown life counter
  • 1 Card-storage box

If you’re wondering what a “pizza bundle promo” is, it’s basically a reprint of an older card featuring brand-new Turtle-themed art. The team revealed one for the popular Magic card Dark Ritual featuring art of master Splinter sprinkling toppings onto a pizza. There are six different pizza promos available.

The Pizza Bundle releases a few weeks after the main set on March 27, 2026.

Draft Bundle

This unique product is made for a four-person draft and costs $119.99. That will get you:

  • Twelve Play Boosters (ideal for a group of four to play draft)
  • One Premium Booster (aka, the prize for coming in first)
  • Ninety Regular land cards (for building your draft deck)
  • Ten Regular double-sided tokens
  • 1 drafting guide (a single-page instruction sheet to drafting the set)

Cooperative Play Set

Finally, Wizards are doing something new with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles as in line with its ongoing effort to create Magic game products specifically for new players. In this case, Turtle Team-Up is a unique product of prebuilt decks that let you and a friend team up to face a “Boss” deck that pilots itself.

The general idea is that each Boss card gives unique powers to the creature cards contained in the boss deck. The Boss automatically plays one other card per turn, and players begin battling {one Boss|
