The Brazilian star Extends Apology to Los Blancos Devotees

Los Merengues winger Vinicius Jr has expressed regret to fans for his response when taken off in Sunday's heated Clasico clash victory.

Vinicius was taken off in the 72nd minute and showed his annoyance by heading directly down the tunnel.

The Brazilian later returned to the bench and, after his team's 2-1 win, attempted to approach Barcelona's youngster Yamal during contentious post-match scenes.

"Now I want to express regret to all the supporters for my response when I was substituted in the Clasico," the player wrote on his account.

"Just as I have previously expressed during today's practice, I wish to apologise again to my teammates, the team, and the club president.

"Sometimes fervor takes over me because I always want to win and assist my club. My determined nature originates in the passion I feel for this institution and everything it symbolizes."

The player signed for Madrid from Brazil in recent years for £38.7m and has scored 111 goals in numerous matches.

But his future in the Madrid is far from certain with reports in recent months indicating that Los Blancos would consider allowing the young star depart if they obtained a good proposal.

When he was substituted on Sunday, TV coverage from broadcaster the platform captured him saying: "It's always me! I'm leaving the team! It's better if I leave, I'm going."

In his most recent post on social media, he said: "I vow to keep fighting constantly for the good of Real Madrid, as I have done since the first day."
